Awesome Queerness
This greeting card illustration is inspired by the love and admiration I have for people in my LGBTQ+ community. I wanted to create a card that you could give to someone who has inspired you, or to celebrate someone's queer identity.
Process
I created the linework, drawn by hand using my favourite Unipin fineliner. I scanned this in and cleaned up some areas in Photoshop. In Illustrator I adjusted the layout, added colour fills and different variations for trans, bi, lesbian, gay and queer-identifying folks. The colours used reflect the pride flags for each identity.
Project completed June 2023 for Pride month.
