Out of This World
This illustration was created in response to the Valentine’s Card call out by Ohh Deer and Sainsbury’s in April 2021. I created an LGBTQ+ friendly design, inspired by my own experiences as a woman in a same-sex relationship choosing a Valentine’s card.
Process
The process for this project started with sketching ideas and asking my Instagram followers which ones they liked. Then I created the linework, drawn by hand using my favourite Unipin fineliner. I scanned this in and cleaned up in Photoshop. In Illustrator I added colour fills and shading- ensuring the dimensions were correct for the brief. The colours used reflect the bisexual pride flag.
Project completed April 2021.
