Summer Blooms
I designed this series of floral illustrated cards for my online shop. Occasions include Birthday, Blank and Thank You. The cards feature British summer flowers including roses, peonies, daisies and buttercups, complemented by washy paint textures.
Process
This series was developed from fineliner drawings I made in local parks in Summer 2020. I scanned the drawings in, and used Photoshop and Illustrator to create layouts, add colour and painted textures from watercolour washes I created myself.
In this case I chose Omnes by Joshua Darden of Darden Studio. Supporting Black and minority font designers is important to me.
I developed the floral illustrations in these cards into repeat patterns - you can see these in my repeat pattern portfolio.
