Whizzer Land Fairytale Book Illustration: Characters

Creating these fairy characters for the Whizzer Land Fairytale last year was so much fun! This book is a fun, magical tale that also encourages children to engage with toilet-training and helps their parents with advice and strategies too. This book illustration project was commissioned by Kiddiwhizz. I loved choosing their outfits, and imagining their emotions, personalities and activities. Here are some of my favourites:

I illustrate all the linework by hand using ink pen, and then scan this to digital file, leaving the original textures and hand-drawn quirks in the style. Then I add colour digitally with a vibrant, warm palette.
